kofta burgers
Ingredients
- 1kg Lamb
- 2 Onion
- 1 Garlic Bulb
- 6 tablespoons Garam Masala
- Bunch Coriander
- 1 tablespoon Chilli Sauce
- 8 Pita Bread
- 4 sliced Tomato
- 1/2 Red Cabbage
- 1 sliced Red Onions
- Small pack Yogurt
Instructions
- Place the lamb mince in a large bowl. Add the finely chopped onion, crushed garlic, garam masala, chopped coriander, chilli sauce, and a generous pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly by hand until evenly combined.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into small burger patties. At this stage, the burgers can be chilled for up to a day or frozen for longer storage.
- Preheat the grill to its highest setting. Arrange the burgers in a single layer on a baking tray or grill rack, cooking in batches if necessary.
- Grill the burgers for 5–6 minutes on each side until well browned and cooked through.
- Transfer the cooked burgers to a serving platter and serve with pita bread, sliced tomatoes, shredded red cabbage, sliced red onion, and yogurt, allowing everyone to assemble their own burgers.
