kofta burgers

Ingredients

  • 1kg Lamb
  • 2 Onion
  • 1 Garlic Bulb
  • 6 tablespoons Garam Masala
  • Bunch Coriander
  • 1 tablespoon Chilli Sauce
  • 8 Pita Bread
  • 4 sliced Tomato
  • 1/2 Red Cabbage
  • 1 sliced Red Onions
  • Small pack Yogurt

Instructions

  1. Place the lamb mince in a large bowl. Add the finely chopped onion, crushed garlic, garam masala, chopped coriander, chilli sauce, and a generous pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly by hand until evenly combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into small burger patties. At this stage, the burgers can be chilled for up to a day or frozen for longer storage.
  3. Preheat the grill to its highest setting. Arrange the burgers in a single layer on a baking tray or grill rack, cooking in batches if necessary.
  4. Grill the burgers for 5–6 minutes on each side until well browned and cooked through.
  5. Transfer the cooked burgers to a serving platter and serve with pita bread, sliced tomatoes, shredded red cabbage, sliced red onion, and yogurt, allowing everyone to assemble their own burgers.
