Polish patties (kotlety)

Polish patties (kotlety)

Ingredients

  • 1 Bread Rolls
  • 120ml Milk
  • 1 chopped Onion
  • 100 ml Vegetable Oil
  • 500g Ground Beef
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Garlic Clove
  • Pinch Marjoram
  • 75g Breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Soak the bread roll in the milk until completely soft. Meanwhile, heat the vegetable oil in a pan and fry the chopped onion for about 8 minutes, until soft and golden. Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.
  2. Place the ground beef in a large bowl. Add the egg, crushed garlic, marjoram and season with salt and pepper. Squeeze the excess milk from the softened bread roll and add the bread to the meat along with the fried onion. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape into patties. Place the breadcrumbs in a shallow dish and coat each patty evenly on all sides.
  4. Heat a little oil in a deep frying pan. Fry the patties in batches over medium heat, turning as needed, until browned and cooked through, about 6–7 minutes per side.
