Chick-Fil-A Sandwich
Ingredients
- 1 Chicken Breast
- 1/4 cup Pickle Juice
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 1/2 cup Flour
- 1 tbs Icing Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/4 tsp Celery Salt
- 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 1 cup Olive Oil
- 1 Sesame Seed Burger Buns
Instructions
- Place the chicken between plastic wrap and gently pound it flat using the flat side of a mallet.
- Slice the chicken into two pieces, trying to keep them as evenly sized as possible.
- Soak the chicken pieces in pickle juice for 30 minutes to one hour, optionally adding a teaspoon of Tabasco.
- In a bowl, whisk together the egg and milk until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, icing sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, celery salt, and cayenne pepper.
- Dip each chicken piece into the egg mixture on both sides, then thoroughly coat them with the flour mixture on both sides.
- Pour olive oil into a skillet to a depth of about 1/2 inch and heat it to approximately 345-350°F.
- Fry each chicken cutlet for 2 minutes per side until they turn golden brown and are cooked through.
- Drain the fried chicken on paper towels and place it on toasted sesame seed buns with pickle slices.
