Chick-Fil-A Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 Chicken Breast
  • 1/4 cup Pickle Juice
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 1 tbs Icing Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Celery Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 cup Olive Oil
  • 1 Sesame Seed Burger Buns

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken between plastic wrap and gently pound it flat using the flat side of a mallet.
  2. Slice the chicken into two pieces, trying to keep them as evenly sized as possible.
  3. Soak the chicken pieces in pickle juice for 30 minutes to one hour, optionally adding a teaspoon of Tabasco.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the egg and milk until fully combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, icing sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, celery salt, and cayenne pepper.
  6. Dip each chicken piece into the egg mixture on both sides, then thoroughly coat them with the flour mixture on both sides.
  7. Pour olive oil into a skillet to a depth of about 1/2 inch and heat it to approximately 345-350°F.
  8. Fry each chicken cutlet for 2 minutes per side until they turn golden brown and are cooked through.
  9. Drain the fried chicken on paper towels and place it on toasted sesame seed buns with pickle slices.
