Bean & Sausage Hotpot

Ingredients

  • 8 large Sausages
  • 1 Jar Tomato Sauce
  • 1200g Butter Beans
  • 1 tbls Black Treacle
  • 1 tsp English Mustard

Instructions

  1. Heat a large casserole dish or heavy-based pot over medium heat. Add the sausages and cook, turning regularly, until they are evenly browned on all sides, about 10 minutes.
  2. Pour in the tomato sauce and stir well so the sausages are fully coated. Add the butter beans, black treacle (or sugar), and English mustard.
  3. Mix everything gently and bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to low, cover with a lid, and cook for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and the flavours are well combined.
  4. Serve hot with crusty bread or rice.
