Bean & Sausage Hotpot
Ingredients
- 8 large Sausages
- 1 Jar Tomato Sauce
- 1200g Butter Beans
- 1 tbls Black Treacle
- 1 tsp English Mustard
Instructions
- Heat a large casserole dish or heavy-based pot over medium heat. Add the sausages and cook, turning regularly, until they are evenly browned on all sides, about 10 minutes.
- Pour in the tomato sauce and stir well so the sausages are fully coated. Add the butter beans, black treacle (or sugar), and English mustard.
- Mix everything gently and bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to low, cover with a lid, and cook for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and the flavours are well combined.
- Serve hot with crusty bread or rice.
